Benefits of Residential Solar PV

Lower Your Energy Bills & Shield Yourself from Price Hikes

Solar panels generate free electricity from the sun, helping you cut back on expensive grid power. Over time, that means major savings — and protection from rising electricity costs.

Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

Solar energy is 100% clean and renewable. By making the switch, you’re cutting your home’s emissions and contributing to a healthier planet.

Boost Your Property
Value

Homes with solar systems are more attractive to buyers. Not only do they promise lower utility bills, but they also often sell faster and at higher prices.

Enjoy Reliable, Low-Maintenance Power

Modern solar panels are built to last over 25 years with minimal upkeep. Once installed, they quietly produce energy every day — no moving parts, no hassle.

Take Advantage of Grants & Incentives

SEAI and other support schemes make solar even more affordable. These grants can cover a large portion of your installation costs, reducing your upfront spend.

Gain More Energy Independence

With your own solar setup, you’re less reliant on the national grid. That means more control over your power supply, and even more freedom if you add battery storage.

Our Residential Solar Installation Process

We make the process smooth, clear, and stress-free — from first chat to final connection. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Quick Consultation

We’ll kick things off with a short phone call to chat about your home, energy usage, roof direction, and what you’re hoping to achieve. No pressure — just honest advice to help you make the right call.

Step 2: Free Home
Assessment

Next, we’ll come out for a free site visit. We’ll take a proper look at your roof, check how much sun it gets, and figure out the best size and setup for your solar system.

Step 3: Grant Guidance & ESP Report

After the visit, we’ll send you a clear quote with everything included. We’ll also help you with the SEAI grant application, and we’ll handle your ESP (Electrical Safety Performance) report so everything’s officially ready to go.

Step 4: Fast, Clean Installation

Once you give the go-ahead, we’ll schedule your installation. Most systems go in within a day or two. We’ll fit everything neatly, connect it safely, and leave your place just as tidy as we found it.

Step 5: Full System Setup & Walkthrough

After install, we’ll get your system connected to the app and show you exactly how it works. You’ll be able to see your energy production and savings straight away.

Step 6: Ongoing Support

Need anything after install? Just call or WhatsApp us directly — no call centres, no waiting. You’ll be talking to Roy or one of the team who actually worked on your system.

Solar Grants For Homeowners in Ireland

If you’re considering solar, the SEAI Solar Electricity Grant makes it even more affordable. As a homeowner in Ireland, you can claim up to €1,800 to offset the cost of installing solar PV panels. The grant offers €700 per kilowatt (kWp) for the first 2kWp and an additional €200 per kWp up to a maximum of 4kWp. That means a 4kWp system — ideal for an average household — can earn the full €1,800 in support. We’ll guide you through the grant application and make sure you claim everything you’re entitled to. No confusing forms — we do the legwork so you don’t have to.

See Our Residential Solar Projects

We’ve installed systems for homeowners in semi-detached homes, country houses, and new builds — across counties in the Midlands and Leinster. Whether it’s a 10-panel system on a south-facing roof or a complex north-facing setup, we’ve done it. Want to see what your system could look like? Check out our recent project videos and real-world walkthroughs, including installs in Ballinasloe, Limerick, Newbridge, and more.

Clare – 12 Panel System

In this video, Roy from RJC Renewables explains a 12-panel, 5.22kW solar system installation in Co Clare. He also explains the positioning options in the roof, highlighting that the system is future proof for the owner needs and panels are optimized to be sure all panels are working at 100% power.

Midlands – Domestic Home

In this video, Roy from RJC Renewables explains a 10-panel, 4.35kW solar system installation with a battery in the Midlands. This system is a great example of how solar can help you become energy independent and even sell back excess power to the grid. Roy discusses how the system’s battery acts as a smart buffer, storing any spare energy to keep the house running off-grid as much as possible. He also explains the difference in performance between roofs with different pitches, highlighting that while the summer months are great for generation, the system still produces significant power in the winter.

Residential – North Facing

In this video, Roy from RJC Renewables explains a 13-panel, 5.65kW solar system installation in Mullingar. This system is a prime example of our ability to design effective solutions for challenging roof orientations, including north-facing panels. Roy clarifies the common misconception about north-facing panels, explaining that while they may not generate as much in direct sunlight, they still produce significant power on overcast days and contribute to the overall system’s performance. The system is fully optimised, which means all panels work together as one, even when some are partially shaded.

17 Panel System On Domestic Home

In this video, Roy from RJC Renewables explains a recent 17-panel, 7.48kW solar system installation on a domestic home. This custom solution was designed to meet the homeowner’s specific needs, including powering a large 12kW heat pump and charging an electric car for free.
